Today was the 4th special day trip of the season, and despite a wet start to the day, by the time we assembled for the boat the rain had stopped, and the weather improved so much we ended up having a belter of a day!  Highlights included 3 separate sightings of Short-eared Owl, great views of a hunting Little Owl, a pair of Peregrines hunting along the north coast, and a pair of Chough feeding at the Wick whilst we enjoyed the seabirds.  We chalked up 37 species, the only species we missed was Blackbird!  The 5th and final day trip is on Monday 4th July (fully booked).  Dates for 2017 coming soon!
